ch.2 Captured

The Man-O-War edged closer, and closer, slowly, slowly, being that it was not a “steamer”, some what knowing what they were up to.
So finally Kendew yelled, “BROADSIDE HER!!” immediately a barrage of explosions rang out, followed by the crushing sounds of the iron shot colliding with the side of the “Britt”.
Then the opposing ship started to ” kreeeek”, and you could see the main mast tipping over… “splash!”
“Ahead full!” he roared, “Boarders a-front! Helms man ram that ship!!”
Kendew got there first, and grabbed a “crusher” ( a swivel cannon) swung her around and said, “Have ye had O nuff’? “and then; “bang!” the grape-shot whizzed through the air, and mowed down the sailors that were scurrying away like cock-roaches over the wreckage. The distance closed in seconds “Smash” the two ships collided bow to bow.( or head to head ) It was a quick brawl, and the English came out on top by shere numbers, taking prisoners of only officers and killing the rest, by drowning them right in front of the captains eyes making sure that they did not close their eyes or they would be shot. Several of the officers got shot but the majority stayed alive and on deck. Kirk made his way aboard, and stood in front of Kendew . “Traitor.” Kirk said to him, Kendew only spat on him. Kirk hit him in the stomach forcing him to his knees. “Kiss the royal seal and swear allegiance to the crown.” “Never!” Kirk ordered the lieutenant to lock him up.

Later; John had his arm amputated, for there was a “lack” of medicine for “traitors to the crown”. Kirk came in to his cell to lash him, after wards he inquisitively asked; “And what of my wife and child?” Kirk laughed haughtily “You may find out soon if I have my way.”

ch.1 The Atack

These men had been scheming for a half a year and one was still plotting that night. All their plotting and planning had come to this; they would board the Wolfgang , John’s brigantine, and sail to the firth of forth and intercept the HMS Swan destroy, capture,or scuttle her and hope the effect would be a second Scottish rebellion thus freedom for scotts.They reached the silent piers all you could here was the ropes beating on the side of the ships and the murmer of the crew of the Wolfgang .Kirk who wasn’t fully minded at the moment had forgotten in what order they where in pulled out a pistol and shot towards John! Kendew who was looking down barely say what was happening when he shot forward at Kirk who had just unsheathed his sword. Thinking that he could sword fight him but being so dim he thought Kendew had a sword, but he had a musket. Kendew stopped just short of midway on the dock aimed and fired but missed and started running again. Kirk dropped the sword and started runing towards Wolfgang shouting to the bewildered crew; “They killed him, the red coats killed him!!” thinking he could lie to them and get on right then british solders came over the ridge that surrounded the village with several cannons and started loading them. Kendew caught up with Kirk and shoved him over the side. He rushed back to John who was crouched over his hand and screaming, he picked him up onto his feet and brought him back to the ship. “Bababoom!!!!!!” The first blast of the cannons went. when he brought him back he stated giving out orders, and called the doctor for John.who had to have his hand amputated after he stopped yelling he looked back on the town….. it was a mess the villagers thought it was more fire works and came out to see them but got killed or captured including Kendews wife!! “Crack!” a mast fell down! “Get her out of here helm’s man.” he shouted. “Aye aye!” he replied.Just then a whole barrage of explosions sounded! A Man-O-War had rounded the shore line! Half the crew on deck fell down cold dead! “Full steam ahead!” he ordered [it was a steamer].”Master at arms get these men some weapons! We are to board her!

prologue Scotland; 1850, January 1, 12:05 Already the ”New Years” celebrations were over and the throngs had died down and had been disassembled, only a few people remained, about thirty. Three figures separated themselves from the crowd, and headed for the docks.From a distance it looked like just some other scotts. They were walking in a line twenty feet in between them so that if looked at you wouldn’t know that they were all heading towards the docks. In the head was John Mc’Coffin a tall hearty man, his hair was a dirty blond his eyes were brown, next was Kirk Lincon a short and bulky man he had grey-ish-blond hair his eyes were a very light blue almost grey, in the rear was Kendew Zachery he had brown eyes and hair he was average height for a scott.
